Cute Diaper Bags

There are SO many cute diaper bags out there these days. One of my favorite collections is by Bumble Collections. They have great bags and accessories to go with everything. They are one of the few collections that have car seat covers, which is great for moms that are numbers 2+ of the kiddos. You don't have to get rid of your ugly old car seat, just cover it with any of the many prints and patterns and voila, good as new! They also match your diaper bag so you look ever so put together. :)

Here's a shot of what we have at Expected. And the cuties at The Bumble Collection wanted to spotlight our store because they think it's so cute, awwwwh. You can check it out by clicking here.

(PS, anything you find on their website we can order, so if we don't have it in the store just give Kristy or I (Becca) a call and we'll get it ordered for you. 801.568.6463

Artful Belly!

Cutest thing ever. I saw a girl at the pool who had her big darling belly exposed and her daughter had taken red, blue and yellow paints and painted all over it (I forgot to take a pic so here's another that I thought was cute). I asked her about it and she said that she lets her little girl paint her tummy because it makes both of their days go better and it's her way of getting to express herself to the baby. Sometimes she'll paint a sun around her mom's belly button, sometimes it's a heart to tell the baby she loves him and sometimes it's just crazy splatters. I thought it was the sweetest thing...and ever so creative!

So whether you have little ones already or not, use your belly as a beautiful piece of canvas and celebrate it! Henna tattoos, markers, whatever.

PS, when you do this send me a picture of your belly so I can post it!

Baby Steals!

I found a GREAT website that offers a "steal of the day" at over 50% off retail. Each day the item is changed and is online until it sells out (so make sure you get on and purchase early in the day, new item goes up at 9am!). Most of it is stuff for baby, but often times there will be items for pregnant and post-pregnant mommies. They also have contests and really great ideas for new items that you'll want to know about.

Soooo, start stocking up for your lil guy or gal - for super cheap!

Top 20 Baby Names of 2008

Ok, so it's always a challenge trying to figure out what name (brand really) that we want to give our kids. A brand they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. You could have the prettiest little girl in the world, but if her name is Gertrude, chances are she'll be percieved a bit differently than if her name was Elizabeth.

So what are the top names of 2008 then? Would you be surprised to find out that Biblical names still rule the charts for boys? There are a few "new" Biblical names that have suddenly become popular, and are OH so cute! And for the girls? Well, there are lots of names that begin with vowels. See for yourself...

Maternity Fashion Must-Haves

There are a few essential items that every pregnant woman shouldn't have to live without. I'll post more fashion must-haves later on, but here's a good start...

BellaBand: One essential purchase for every pregnant woman is the BellaBand, from Ingrid & Isabel. This elasticized band helps you wear your regular pants or skirts longer (by concealing an open zipper), holds up too-loose maternity pants early in pregnancy, and helps you fit into your normal pants sooner, postpartum.

Maternity Denim: A great-fitting pair of jeans in a cut that you like will probably be the most important clothing purchase you make during pregnancy. Designer Maternity Denim is extremely popular, offering an endless variety of hip styles and washes. For maximum wear, buy a darker wash that dresses up for work or play, day or night. Click here for an excellent variety of designer denim for yummy mummies to-be.

A Not-So-Little Black Dress: The little black dress is a pregnancy staple. Look for wrap dresses, empire waists or something with ruching in black that can be dressed up or down, depending your shoes and accessories.
