Why routines?
Routines provide structure and help kids feel safe. Following a routine helps kids to develop self-control, to learn to problem-solve, and to develop other important skills. Routines allow you to control your time (instead of your time controlling you).
Divide your day into segments when you’re planning your routine.
“Zero in on the family routines that are most
important.
Agree about who is responsible for
which which tasks. Create a chart or checklist
to remind everyone. Tweak as necessary. Your
routine will soon become second-nature.”
